What is A Night Unsheltered Event?A Night Unsheltered is a powerful overnight awareness and fundraising event hosted by Thomas County CARES. Participants will spend one night outdoors in a controlled, safe environment to simulate what it’s like to experience homelessness. The goal is to foster empathy, raise community awareness, and generate critical funds to support local programs such as emergency shelter, street outreach, recovery support, job training, and more. While it’s not an exact representation of true homelessness, it allows individuals to step outside their comfort zone and stand in solidarity with those who face these challenges every day.
-
